(More customer reviews)I searched all around for reviews on coffee makers before buying one. I was looking before my husband broke the carafe and then, oh darn, I had to get one right away. Reviews can be a pain, some people love things and others say they are horrible. So I figured I'd just go for it and return it if I didn't like it.
I didn't give it 5 stars only because it's loud during the last 2 cups of brewing. But, I think all coffee pots are that way. Someone said they hated the beeps that it made at the end of brewing, that he didn't want an alarm clock. I don't know what he was thinking that he didn't complain about how loud the brewing was over the very soft beeps. They don't bother me.
The carafe is great -- it doesn't leak. It's easy to use. As for timing, it takes 12 minutes to brew a 12 cup pot and it lets you take a cup out before it's done if you can't wait that long. This pot and others have a brewing option to alter how strong the coffee is to suit your needs. Interesting that they have regular and strong but they don't offer a weak option. For those of us that like milder coffee we just get to add less coffee and save money :)
The price is right and I would recommend this to anyone.
