(More customer reviews)I bought this coffee maker to replace my $350 Krups that I always thought made iffy coffee. Great decision! For the first time in my life, my coffee tastes like really great restaurant coffee. I've never been able to do that before. The box made mention of a "refined" brewing process for better tasting coffee, no further explanation. I don't know what that process is, but it could be a contributor here. I do notice that the coffee doesn't drip down into the carafe constantly, but rather gently shoots through in spurts, so I wonder if that has something to do with it. I have read that when water goes through the coffee faster, it's better for the taste.
Also, I really like that I can (don't have to) take the water tank off the back to fill up directly, rather than having to pour it into the coffee maker. I usually spill water, so that's a nice feature for me.
The electronic display has blue letters/numbers, which is gentle on the eyes and pretty. The gold tone filter means no more paper filters, which is great.
So far no cons...
