Drip free pouring? Lol. HUGE disappointment. I took a chance and figure Melitta might not have outsourced to China for their new pot, wrong.
Out of box.... Filter basket release button, the filter basket holder does not swing freely, it goes halfway and gets stuck, you have to push it past the hangup...so what's the point of a release button.
The Blue LCD, it's not really readable.
The cord is WAY too short, there's a huge cavern under the coffeemaker for at least 6' of cord and this one's about 2'
The carafe lid has an intentional hole in it (I guess for venting), so it spills and releases heat.
Can't completely empty carafe because of the inside lip.
The removable filter basket is very difficult to get back in the one way it will fit.
This morning I had to turn it on 3 times to get it to finish making 10 cups
When the coffee is done, cleanup is a chore, there is water everywhere. On the counter from where it leaks from the overflow hole in the reservoir. Water/coffee on the plate from spillage, dripping and condensation. The filter basket holder dumps condesation everywhere when you remove the basket to empty.
The pause and serve consistently drips.
Coffee is tepid, lukewarm....even after manually warming the carafe with hot water prior to brewing. The ONE good thing I can say is the coffee comes out tasting good.
