(More customer reviews)It is the size I wanted. Great design. Attractive and compact. I wanted a break resistant carafe (so my kids can do the dishes). The carafe is well built and is lightweight. I too was concerned that it is not a thermal insulated carafe but it turns out that is not needed since it sits on a "Keep Hot" warming plate. Though it is not listed on the outside of the box, it does indeed automatically shut off after 2 hours as described in the instructions. The clock and programmable timer are simple to set up. Best of all it brews hot delicious coffee!
